  Phill Feltham is a Canadian journalist and currently works full-time as the Senior Editor for Maximum Fitness magazine. Phill co-owns Open Reel Entertainment, Incorporated, with long-time friend and fellow journalist Victor Penney. Under Open Reel, Phill solely operates the travel website, The Weekly Wanderer Dot Com (TWW). He decided to open TWW while living in Taiwan to keep up his journalism skills. Phill is the sole-proprietor of Metro Divisions Media, his long-time freelance business.

Phill relocated to Toronto to attend Humber College for journalism. He finished Humber College three years later, graduating with honors. During his time at Humber, Phill had the opportunity to work with Global Television, Rogers Television, the Etobicoke Guardian, among other well-known Canadian media outlets.


  Phill started his journalism career as the Editor for Electricity Today, a North American electrical trade publication, based out of Pickering, Ontario. In early 2005, he left Electricity Today to teach English in Taiwan.

During his two-year stint as a teacher, Phill did freelancing gigs for many of the English magazines and websites including Taiwan Fun, Centered in Taipei and the now defunct 24 Seven. Phill also started The Weekly Wanderer Dot Com as a way to maintain contact with other fellow Canadian journalists and as a way to keep his journalism skills up to par for when he returned to Canada looking for employment.

Less than two months in Canada, Phill was hired by Maximum Fitness Editor-In-Chief Michael De Medeiros to be Senior Editor.


  Open Reel Entertainment, Incorporated commenced operations in January 2007 as a federal Canadian corporation and is co-owned by Phill Feltham and Victor Penney. The Weekly Wanderer Dot Com, which operated as its own entity prior, joined Open Reel to become its first brand in January 2007. A second brand opened in March 2007, operated by Victor Penney, known as Smokin’ For Men.


  Phill is the sole-proprietor of Metro Divisions Media (originally Metro Divisions Publications), his long-time freelance business, since 1996. Phill has mainly sold his zines and his services under the Metro label. He also operated rCw (Royal Canadian Wrestling), a wrestling e-league, under the Metro banner, however, it was a non-for-profit venture.


  Phill once weighed in at 260 pounds; however, while he was living in Peterborough, he lost almost 100 pounds. He bought his first gym pass in May 1998. Ever since then he’s maintained a consistent workout and has had a passion for fitness.

Writing isn’t Phill’s only escape. With his friend, Rodney Tapp, on guitar he recorded two demos: “Love Beyond Words” and “Jade’s Love Song” in 1999 and 2000. Phill has expressed interest in possibly recording more original songs in the future.
